Dear HamLit Community,

It’s official. Submission notification emails have been sent for our Autumnal Issue: Hearth Songs. To everyone who submitted their short fiction and poetry, thank you! Your writing, and reflections on home and the songs that echo, were a gift to read. For those accepted to the second round, suggestions and notes can be expected by the weekend of September 6th. For those that are excited to read….

Issue 08 will be published on September 17, 2024. We can’t wait to share it with you.

HamLit: After Dark

As the sun sets earlier and earlier, submissions for our first ever special issue are now open and will be accepted through September 30. We want your weird, your terrifying, your sensual. If it happens in the dark, we want to read it!

Your editors also think a special issue makes for a great reason to hold a special reading during the last weekend in October. So mark your calendars and keep an eye here and on social media for event updates and specifics!
