We hope you are staying comfortable as the spring season temperatures go up and down. We wanted to reach out and say thank you so much for submitting to HamLit this cycle. 

The submissions for Issue 05: Life Expectancy run the gamut from dark and introspective to hopeful and inspiring. It is an honor to be able to review such quality work, and we are grateful that you share your skills with us. 

Our review process is nearly concluded, and we are working hard to make sure each piece is given appropriate care and consideration. We will be reaching out shortly with more details.

A word from veteran Hammie Alexandra M. Lucas:

May 2023 marks my one-year anniversary of working as a narrative designer at Stoic Studio! The team is developing an exciting new video game and looking forward to sharing more information with the public in the coming months. HamLit has contributed to my personal success and growth as a writer in so many ways, and one of them is that I was able to share my HamLit short story publications during the interview process for this position. Typically, video game studios require job applicants to take lengthy writing tests, so it was nice to be able to skip that step and instead share published works for their consideration. Thank you for your support!
