Dear HamLit Community,
In the darkest time of year we are happy to bring some light into the world with our Winter Solstice publication. This collection of poems and short stories–featuring both new and established writers from the PNW–is now live and ready to be enjoyed.
Whether through an inexorable pull or the great shaking rush of never being able to stop, your editors were delighted by the dynamic interpretations and meditations on our theme Without Pause. Analyzing where we do or do not pause in life has touched us in ways we will return to again and again.
Thank you to everyone for their support and encouragement. Without our editorial team, authors, and readers there would be no one to amplify and celebrate this local talent! So, without further ado, welcome all past, present, and future readers to our second solstice showcase:

Save the Date! First Ever Live Reading Event - 1/21/2024
This January 2024 we will celebrate our four-year publication anniversary, and we couldn’t think of a better way to honor our six issues than by coming together for our first ever, in-person reading event. HamLit authors are invited to read excerpts from their published works and all readers, friends, and writing community members are encouraged to attend. RSVP details to come, so please stay tuned!
In the meantime, you can support us by 1) encouraging your friends to subscribe to our newsletter, 2) by following us on Facebook and/or Instagram, and 3) by donating to our Ko-Fi (which helps us pay for web hosting, offer honorariums to our incredible authors, and host intimate reading events **YAY**!)
Did we mention we couldn’t do any of this without you? Never forget it. We certainly don’t.
Happy Publication Day!
David, Joe, and Rochelle
