Monsoon Issue 09: Flood Memory
The next HamLit submission cycle is April 1 through May 15. We can't wait to read your submissions!
Dear HamLit Community,
Thank You for an Incredible Night at Ramble Tamble!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Whatcom Poetry Series State Street Crawl! Whether you joined us at the Honeymoon to start things off or just popped in for the session we ran, we were delighted to have you. We are so grateful for the words you shared at Ramble Tamble, and it means so much to us to be a part of such a vibrant literary community. Your presence, words, and energy made the night truly special. We can’t wait to do it again!
Announcing Our Next Season Issue Theme: Flood Memory
We are thrilled to announce that our next theme for Monsoon Issue 09 is Flood Memory. The original inspiration comes from a river that is straightened for the ease of those who live around it. When the river floods, however, it reclaims its original pattern. The water remembers. What else is water trying to tell us these days? What memories rush forward when the dam can no longer hold?
Submissions will be open from April 1 through May 15, and we can’t wait to welcome new short fiction and poetry that explore this evocative theme. Whether you’re diving into personal history, natural cycles, or the way memory ebbs and flows, we’re looking forward to reading your interpretations.
Start brainstorming, start writing, and get ready to share your work—we can’t wait to see what you create!
