Submissions for HamLit’s Winter Solstice Issue 06 have closed!
And we are so grateful to have received so much beautiful writing!
Dear HamLit Community,
Submissions for HamLit’s Winter Solstice Issue 06 have closed!
That is to say, your editors are wildly excited to dive into the slew of stories and poetry submissions in the HamLit Inbox. Huge appreciation to all who submitted, told others about us, and have cheered us on to reach this point. Our sixth issue, can you believe it? We barely can.
Many of you have shared how this round’s theme–Without Pause–stirred plots, images, and stories deep within you. For intentionally putting pen to paper, fingers to keys, and then sharing those stirrings with us, we thank you.
Next Steps: If you submitted Issue 06 short fiction and/or poetry, a receipt confirmation email will hit your email by end-of-day November 19. In early December, first round acceptance notifications will be sent out. We appreciate your patience as we review and communicate. Please anticipate digital publication to coincide with Winter Solstice.
Happy NaNoWriMo 2023!
Good luck as we pass the halfway point for National Novel Writing Month. Any words are good words; congratulations on whatever progress you have made so far. In fact, just investing in the practice of writing daily is a serious success. Wherever you are at, keep it up!
Donation Gratitude
Lately we’ve had a bit of a surge in Ko-fi one-offs and Substack donations. If you’ve contributed financially, please know that we are so, so, so appreciative. Operational costs for our journal are sustained 100% by your editors, so any and all support is considered thoughtful and helpful and oh so welcome. Truly, your gifts are a source of such light and delight. Thank you!
Friends, we hope you are enjoying November and remember to take gentle care of yourself as the dark comes ever earlier. May we move toward the New Year Without Pause.
Best Wishes and Warmest Regards,
David, Joe, and Rochelle
Your HamLit Editors
